The sky is getting greyer, the temperature is lower and when climbing you can't feel your fingers anymore. This can only mean one thing, it is almost the end of the year. The board would like to wish you all very merry holidays and a happy new year! Let's hope that we'll be climbing even more and higher in 2023!

Since it has been a long time since the TSAC had a lecture by a cool climber, on the 18th of January at 20:00 we will have a lecture by alpinist Bas Visscher. He has done epic climbs all over the alps, including the Eiger Nordwand and the Peuterey Integrale on the Mont Blanc. He has also done first ascents on multiple expeditions to Pakistan, Kirgistan and other far-away regions with the NKBV expedition academy, where he guides climbers as a coach. He always takes his camera, so he has some awesome pictures to show and great stories to tell.

The Holiday is almost over so a couple of announcements to start the study year.

• Sadly the days where the hall evenings where always plannend have changed, they will now be on the tuesdays and thursdays with hall guards and wednesday without. On mondays there will not be hall evening anymore.
• Next week will also be start of the trainings again! T2 will start at 19:30 until 21:30. The schedule of all the training can ofcourse be found on the site.
• As usual there will be a DMS check at the end of October, this is done by the SU to control if everyone has bought a unioncard and TSAC membership, so don't forget to do this.

After the first week of lectures of the new academic year, the Accie organizes a tropical drink! 🍹🍸Right before a new group of people join the TSAC, everyone can come together to talk about all the adventures they have had during the holiday.

It will take place on friday the 9th of september from 20:00 until (insert something witty) at the garden between Witbreuksweg 397 and 399. So get your hawaiian shirt or another tropical outfit ready and we'll see you there!

The TSAC will be organising the TRUUS again this year (TSAC Rennersdiner voor Uitgeputte en Uitgehongerde SAC'ers). It is a great diner on Saterday, April 30th, after you have run the bata. Besides the great food, it is very fun as well of course! Other SAC's will be present as well!
Of course no one wants to miss Daans food.
 

The new date for the Sport Club Championship(SCK) is 14th of may!!!
Prepare for beautifull routes that decide the best climber of the TSAC.
So start training for THE competition of the season and send the route to the top!

On Wednesday the second of March, the Accie organizes a game-climbing evening🧗‍♂️On this evening, the boulderwall and SC3 will be filled with climbing related games. There will also be a 'zaalwacht' so every climbing status is welcome!

After the success of Free solo in 2019, will The Alpinist be released mid Februari. But of course, you don't want to wait that long. The AcCie has found a solution! On monday 7th of Februari, an exclusive preview is organised in association with Concordia. There are limited spots available, thus sign up as soon as possible. (link in the TSAC whatsapp)

On Friday 21 January we will visit a climbing hall outside of Enschede again. This time it's Neoliet's turn in Utrecht: One of the largest and most beautiful climbing halls in the Netherlands (after Arque of course ;))! Because the TSAC contributes to this activity, you can even go there for only 5 euros, excluding travel costs. We are allowed to climb from 15:00 to 17:00.

As befits the tradition, we open this climbing year with the annual New Year's Climbing. A few weeks later than planned (coronaaaaa), but that just means it's a little warmer than usual, so the pandemic helped us for once.

- When: Sunday, January 23 from 13:00
- What: Climbing on the outside wall to celebrate the new year and that we can climb again.
- Why: Climbing and chocolate milk!
- Why not: It's cold. Jk there are no disadvantages
- Costs: Free!

Monday the 17th of january the anual TSAC new years auction will be held! A lot of different things will be auctioned off the raise money for the association, from old climbing holds to persons. And not to be forgotten, the 43th kandidate board of the TSAC wil be presented! You don't want to miss this.
